New Lamborghini Huracan Prototype Spied Looking Like A Tamed STO

[ad_1]

Another Lamborghini Huracan prototype has been caught testing in the wild. Unlike the previously captured off-road-ready Huracan Sterrato prototype, this one looks like a proper sports car sitting low to the ground. It also shows similarities to the Huracan STO, at least to some extent.

Caught by our spies during cold weather testing, the prototype Huracan here looks like a more docile version of the STO. The front fascia is slightly different, but the large diffuser at the rear is clearly adopted from the hardcore Huracan. We’re just not sure about the yellow strap and light bar up front.

It’s impossible to miss the large rear wing on the prototype. It’s not as big as you’ll see on the STO but it’s big enough to grab attention. Our friends who saw the Huracan here also said that it came with an STO exhaust note, so we don’t expect any changes to the greasy bits aside from the added power output.

Overall, we could see another Huracan flavor in development, which could debut this year. Reports say it will be called the Huracan JV Stradale, but that’s more speculation than gospel at this point.

For the record, Lamborghini has confirmed that four new cars will be revealed this 2022 in preparation for hybrids. One of them will be the automaker’s last pure petrol supercar. The other might be a Huracan Sterrato, though Lamborghini hasn’t confirmed it yet.

Another assumption is that the others will be fresh versions of Urus. As the automaker’s best-selling model, accounting for 60 percent of its sales in 2021, giving it a plausible facelift.

One thing is for sure: Lamborghini is preparing something special for the supercar segment.
