The Ferrari F8 Tributo is fast in every way. On paper, this car goes from rest to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, provided you can get some traction. It hits 100 mph in 5.8 seconds, covers the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds at 139 mph, and if you have enough room to run it will eventually hit 211 mph.
This new video from AutoTopNL doesn’t offer numerical verification of all of those benchmarks, but we’re treated to a driver’s view of the F8 in all of those situations. This supercar runs thoroughly on the unrestricted section of the German autobahn, and in fact, we get one numerical verification of this high-speed trip. In seventh gear, with 7,400 rpm displayed on the tachometer, the Ferrari’s speed briefly reaches 341 km/h. That equates to 211 mph – exactly the top speed a healthy F8 Tributo should reach.
And we’d say this car is definitely healthy. The title of the video mentions Novitec, a tuning company that offers many upgrades for the Tributo. Horsepower is still listed as stock, so it’s unclear what modifications (if any) might play out. With 710 hp (529 kilowatts) already coming out of the F8’s twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine, it never hurts to motivate. And the car in this video seems capable of going even faster. The sprint starts with a clear highway, but with traffic rapidly appearing on the horizon, the driver picks up after hitting 211 mph.
The maximum speed pass is one of several rounds in the video. Traffic conspired to keep things a little quieter on another attempt, though in this case, calm still means sprints close to 200 mph on some occasions. With such acceleration underfoot, the F8 doesn’t take long to reach such speeds, both stock and modified.
Novitec’s fully trimmed F8 Tributo can make over 800 hp (597 kW), dropping from 0-60 mph to 2.6 seconds in the process. Novitec’s website lists the top speed as simply “over 340 km/h” which is already in the F8’s wheelhouse. Considering the level of acceleration we saw from the Ferrari in this video, we’d say that a few more clicks on the speedo are possible.
