Another day, another new BMW that gets the worst criticism from the internet in terms of design. A new BMW M4 CSL is out and about but beyond arguably impressive numbers, the top-spec M4 has received mixed reviews from enthusiasts and enthusiasts alike.
Most of the comments unsurprisingly criticized the large grille, which has been a recurring theme since the arrival of the latest 4er. The BMW M4 CSL 2023 is no different, though designer Marouane Bembli, otherwise known on Youtube as TheSketchMonkeyhave a difference in this respect.
Even if there is, Bembli thinks that the grille on the M4 CSL looks better than the grille on the M4 Competition. According to the YouTuber, who has published videos showcasing redesign attempts on various cars (such as the Aztec Pontiac), the problem with the new CSL M4 lies in the collection of lines and indentations in the front fascia, along with a seemingly incoherent execution. overall design.
To fix this, Bembli applied some changes to the bumper, while the grille has been reshaped to match the lines. The headlight cluster was also reshaped and replaced towards the last minute of the video.
Meanwhile, the sides are also given a touch, especially seen in the removal of body lines and the addition of a Hoffmeister kink. You can watch the video at the top of this page for the entire redesign process as well as Bembli’s insight into the M4 CSL’s incoherent lines.
We think the resulting rendering looks cleaner than before. But does that make the $140,000 M4 CSL look any more attractive? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
