2023 Cadillac Escalade-V Gets New Dark Emerald Metallic Paint

Once orders for the high-performance Cadillac Escalade-V 2023 open, customers will be able to purchase a new color called Dark Emerald Metallic, Cadillac Society has learned.

Unfortunately, there are no Dark Emerald Metallic images as of this writing, but it’s important to note that it is no the same color as Dark Emerald Frost, which is a limited color available on the V-Series Blackwing super sedan – the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing. While Dark Emerald Metallic may be similar in hue to Dark Emerald Frost, the “metallic” moniker indicates that it will have a metallic finish instead of a matte finish for Dark Emerald Frost.

At this time, it’s unclear whether Dark Emerald Metallic will be offered as a limited-production color option on the Cadillac Escalade-V 2023, or whether it will cost extra. It’s also unclear whether the high-performance SUV will get a matte finish like the Blackwing sedan.

The Cadillac Escalade-V gets its motivation from the same engine that’s under the hood of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing: a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4). Under the hood of a performance-oriented luxury SUV, the eight cylinders are capable of producing 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. The supercharged engine bolts to a Cadillac 10-speed automatic transmission, throwing power to all four wheels. Luxury marque estimates that the Escalade-V will be able to jump from zero to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds to the quarter mile in 12.74 seconds at 110 mph.

The Cadillac Escalade-V 2023 will go on sale later this summer, and will carry an MSRP of $149,990 in the US for the regular-length variant, while the extended-length ESV model will also be available. The starting price for the regular Escalade-V in Canada is C$179.998, while opting for the Escalade-V ESV will add C$3,500 to the price of the high-performance SUV.
