There’s a new Range Rover Sport in the mix, and in First Edition format, you can get a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 borrowed from BMW. That gives the sleek SUV 523 horsepower (390 kilowatts) to handle all four wheels, and the result is a 0-60 mph time of 4.3 seconds. You’ll pay for it, because the Land Rover Range Rover Sport First Edition 2023 starts at $122,850.
Custom introductory trim is often embellished with nearly all of the features available as standard equipment, and to Land Rover’s praise, the First Edition is well-equipped indeed. But as we quickly discovered in the automaker’s online configurator, that’s not the case with the Range Rover Sport First Edition. We raised $18,340 in options, bringing most expensive the grand total was $141,190. That includes the $1,350 mandatory destination fee.
What does one get for that extra 18k? The shopping starts with a $750 exterior blackout package that fixes most of the chrome. That doesn’t include the black wheels, however, which will cost you another $350. Add another $560 for a full-size spare wheel, and if you want to pull in your sporty SUV, the Tow Assist is $450. Surprisingly, Land Rover also lists the receiver hitch setting as a $750 option.
