The 2022 Cadillac CT4 is no longer available to order with the Onyx Package, Cadillac Society has learned.
The Onyx package is a package of exterior accents that enhances the style of the luxury sedan with a dark themed set of cosmetic components. It was first introduced to the CT4 for the 2022 model year as a PUT-level item, meaning that it is installed by dealers rather than on the assembly line at the factory. If available, it is offered in Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels.
The Onyx package for Cadillac CT4 2022 contains the following cosmetic components (relevant production code in brackets):
- 19-inch alloy wheels with Gloss Black (SOU) finish
- Black mirror cap (5JS)
- Black grille (5XR)
- Cadillac Monochrome (SFZ) Emblem
- Glossy Black (E5K) grille trim
The Onyx Package price for the 2022 Cadillac CT4 is $2,995 when installed on a vehicle with Premium Luxury trim, and $3,195 for Luxury (base) and Sport trim levels. At this time, it is unclear when the Onyx Packages will be available again.
It should be noted that the Black grille offered as part of the Onyx Package for the 2022 CT4 is offered as a standalone option for $625. The grille was also recently removed from the order book, and it’s not clear when it will return.
Interestingly, the Onyx Package is also currently not available for the 2022 Cadillac XT4 luxury crossover, but Cadillac recently replaced it with the XT4 Onyx Lite package. For a short time, the exterior accent package was also excluded from the Cadillac Escalade, but its unavailability for a full-size luxury SUV has been resolved.
As a reminder, the base engine on the 2022 Cadillac CT4 350T is a turbocharged 2.0L I4 (production code LSY), producing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. These four upgraded pots are standard on the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. Meanwhile, a turbocharged 2.7L I4 (production code L3B) is optional on the CT4 Premium Luxury, producing 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. This model can be identified by the 500T badge on the decklid. All of the aforementioned CT4 trims are offered in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
